Captain's Focus

BIg disappointment of a day yesterday.  Expecting the wrecks to be loaded given the rest bit they were given.  Unfortunately, there has been a massive invasion of Spiny Dogfish that has shut everything down.  We hit wrecks  at 3, 8, 11, and 14 miles from the beach and everyone was loaed with Dogs.  We had packs following hooked Dogs to the surface.  I am not sure what this means for the rest of the season.  Maybe our next trip we will look for Cod on some of the 25+ mile wrecks.

Based on the radio chatter, the Stiper guys had an off day as well.  It seems as if mostly Bluefish was the rule of the day.
