Captain's Focus

Man, it was a rough one Thursday on the Ocean.  A howling NW wind created a sharp 4' shop with some nice 6 footers thrown in.  Decided to hit the wrecks anyway.   Foresaking anchoring for drifting we did quite well clamming and then jigging Seabass.  2 Guys totaled 10 nice Seabass in the box along with a couple dozen shorts and 10 Fluke including a heart breaker of over 20 inches.  By far the nicer fish came on the jig, including a beauty of a Seabass about 5 lbs.

If you have never jigged for Seabass you really should give it a try.  It is a blast.  Since you want to mimmick the prevelant Sandeels, you should jig with Ava's or Deadly Dick's or something similar.  The bigger fish come from up off the bottom just a bit.
