I did not have high expectations for yesterday's trip so I was not disappointed. The residual Ocean swell had the fish finicky at best. All told we managed about 15 Fluke and 12 Seabass but only 3 barely keeper Seabass in the mix and not a single keeper Fluke. As soon as water settles from the stir I believe the Fluke fishing will bounce right back.
On the Bay front I am not so sure we are not nearing the end of the torrid Fluke run. The fish will be heading out of the inlet soon and the Ocean Fluking should be better than the Bay in both size and numbers. A few drifts yesterday produced only a single flattie in the Bay.
