Captain's Focus

Summer Ocean Fluking is beginning to hit full stride now.    The masses of Fluke in the Bay are beginning to filter out along the local beachfronts.   With the right drift, the catching is ON.  Still expect a lot of shorts but the keeper ratio will be better than it has been from here on out.  The best depth right now is 43ft.

On the Bay side of things, the Fluking is still holding up but changes are underway.   First, other than a few stragglers,  the west side of the Bay is now dead and don't expect that to change until next year as the flatties season is about over.    On the other hand, the east side of the Bay should continue to produce nice Fluke catches for at least a couple more weeks.    You will have to work the tides though.  The cool incoming water is most preferred now.

We hit the wreck first yesterday but only bagged this Ling and Seabass before switching and banging away at short Fluke along the beach.
