For those of you who just like a tight line, no matter what is on the other end, well the Bay Fluking is off the hook. For the most part (maybe 25 to 1) these are not keeper fish. However, they are quite plentiful. Yesterday's trip had a youngster on board, so I decided to start with a quick couple of drifts in the Bay. Well he catches 6 Fluke, before we even really start our day. Great Job Matt!
On the Ocean side of things, the persistent south winds have done their upwelling worst and have dropped near shore water temps as low as 58. This has spurred a Striper bite but completely shut down the Fluke nearshore. So yesterday we headed off the beach a bit. I did find some 70 water out more than 3 miles but we were only able to bang short fish.
