Captain's Focus

I called off our first Shark trip of the year for today.  Just a tad too windy for me to my liking to be running 30 miles out in this slop.  Tuesday looks great, so we are going to give it a whirl then.  Of course, will post any pics if we get Mr. Mako.

Fishing is just a tad off at the moment.  That is not to say you can not catch fish, but there are some abnormal water temperature differences in the inshore water that is playing havoc with the catching.  Yesterday had temps of up to 62 F. at the "Tires" (3 miles off the beach), 54 F. at the Coast Guard Station (right off the beach) and 53 on the East side of Oyster Creek channel and 78 F. on the West side of Oyster Creek channel.  There seems to be a narrow band of cold water in between some water warmer just off shore and dang warm west bay side temps.
