Captain's Focus

We are now so very close for fishing to begin.  I have heard of a "few" stripers being caught but even the local "sharpies" still have their boats in drydock.

As some of you may know, the first keeper has been caught at Graveling Point (earlier than I expected).  That usually means the stripering will begin in our kneck of the woods (Barnegat Bay) any day now.  As for Winter Flounder, I have heard Nothing.  That does not mean that the fish are not there, but NO ONE is fishing for them .... 2 fish limit is a joke.  Oh, I have heard "rumor" of some tailor Bluefish in local canals.  I would be surprised if this was true, but it comes from a pretty credible source.   Even if not true, it won't be but a few weeks before the Bluefish will arrive  en masse.

I expect to make our first trip of the season in the next week or so and am available for Charter any time after April 15.  I refuse to accept people's money to go fishing before that, because catching is just too slim pickings.
