Captain's Focus

Fished the "Tires" yesterday afternoon for a decent pick of fluke. Too bad most were about 16.5 inch FAT fish. Put one nice 21 inch in the boat and lost another keeper at the boat due to some extra enthusiasm. Tried several different baits and by far the best bite was on GULP! shrimp. Water was 71 on the incoming in the inlet and 75 at the Tires. This is going to be fun. With water temps that warm you just never know what you are going to hook into.

A reliable source has it that they "slaughtered" the bonito at the North Ridge yesterday. Also, heard of several white marlin in the 100+ lb. class being caught. The locale is unknown at the moment but I will try to find out.

Fishing is good now. Get out there!
