We were the only area bottom fish boat to sail today which was surprising with such a favorable forecast! Being able to fish in short sleeves with no wind at the end of October is what it is all about. Fished a little different area than yesterday and we were very happy with the results. It was one stop shopping for the guys as we were able to sit on a single spot all day and the guys caught fish from start to finish. The catch consisted of mainly porgies with some nice seabass to spice the catches. There were a couple of triggerfish but no blackfish today. Everyone went home with big bags of fillets! Tom Cavezza, East Hanover, NJ, took the pool with a nice seabass. Light winds again tomorrow and Friday so take advantage of the good weather!! The weekend may not be fishable.
