We had a nice group of our regulars come down on what is usually a slow day for the fishing boats. Started the day on the mussel beds and had loads of action with a few keepers mixed in. Eventually moved on looking for the bigger boys that have kept us busy this past week. Fished the channels the rest of the day where we again found good short action mixed with keepers. It was not the keeper ratio we have had recently but we still had some guys that ended with three and four keepers each. I guess that we are just spoiled. Al Moretti, High Bridge, NJ, had three keepers including the 6 pound 1 ounce pool fish. Greg Barnett, Trenton, NJ, ended up with several keepers as well including his 5 pound 9 ounce fish.
