Captain's Focus

We could not have asked for nicer weather for the group we had onboard today. We started the day in the ocean where we picked away at a mix of keepers and shorts until the current got way too fast and we had to leave the area. Went back to where we fished up yesterday and again had a mix of keepers and shorts for the remainder of the day. A number of the guys had three keepers each with Glenn Ackerman, Easton, PA., taking the pool with a fish around five pounds. Several other fish just missed tying for the pool. The fish are now in their August frame of mind and starting to gather up in their normal late-season areas. Recently we have fished the bay, ocean, shallow and deeper and have found nice fish and good short action just about everywhere. As always this time of the season, we recommend that you guys bring a second outfit that can handle weights heavier than 3 or 4 ounces JUST IN CASE YOU NEED THEM. It is always better to bring a second rod along and not need it rather than not having one and watching everyone else catching fish!! Great weather the next few days!!! See you in the morning.
