MORE NICE FISH. Worked the same general area that has been good to us and as has been the case lately we had our best fishing this morning when we had a good drift. Many of our keepers were 4 to 6 pound fish once again with some short action in the mix. Today was not the fishing we have had recently with the overall number of keepers aboard but the high hook ended with four nice fish and several others each wound up with three nice fish in their coolers. A few of our better fluke fishermen were aboard today and struggled all day to find the right sized fish which happens sometimes but is part of the sport!! Don Jaeger, Morris Plains, NJ, had three NICE fish including a 6 pound 2 ounce and a 6 pound fish and he took the pool. Jack Decker, Blairstown, NJ, just missed the pool with a 6 pound whistle fish. Tom Hollywood, Jr., Staten Island, NY, had a 5 pound 12 ounce fish for his largest of the day. Pete Burrows, Hillsdale, NJ, had several keepers including a pair that were JUST shy of 5 pounds each. Nice weather on tap again for tomorrow. See you in the morning.
