DOORMAT WEDNESDAY!!!

We caught the start of the outgoing tide in one of the channels first thing this morning and were able to pick at mostly NICE keepers with only a handful of shorts. Not fast fishing for sure but quality indeed!!! Once the current got too fast we had to leave the area and go elsewhere. We found a handful of quality fish on just about every drift for the rest of the day with less current. Once again the guys who worked their rods all day did the best but everyone went home with at least one nice fish for dinner. Greg Barnett, Trenton, NJ, wound up with four quality fish up to 5 pounds 11 ounces. Al Waranis, Trenton, NJ, had our first doormat of the season on the first drift this morning which weighed in at 10 pounds 4 ounces!!! The big fish was one of his limit of five nice fish on the day. NICE JOB AL!!! Al and Greg almost always fish together and Al could not have been happier that Greg was there to see him catch it!! Charlie Summit Phillipsburg, NJ, had a 5 pound 7 ounce fish for his largest of the day. Back at it in the morning.
