9 POUND 4 OUNCE FLUKE TODAY!!! We were surprised to see our Monday regulars show up with the forecast and the rain did not bother them one bit---after all it is only water! Had wind against tide for most of the morning which did not help the early bite. Once the current finally changed we were able to put some very nice fish into the coolers for the guys in the second half of the day. John Shaffren, Newark, NJ, boated a 9 pound 4 ounce BEAUTY which is our largest of this young fluke season---SO FAR--- and his personal best!!! Congratulations John!!! Mike Panko, New Smyrna Beach, Fla., spent the last day of his vacation fishing with his friends and had a nice 5 pound 1 ounce fish as part of his catch. There were several other fish between 3 and 4 pounds to go along with the normal keepers for the day. Good job guys for the conditions we were dealt. Back at it in the morning.
