We had a charter this morning with a super group of folks aboard, organized by Bill Taylor.  They had some short action and a few bigger fish were landed, with the pool fish at 5 pounds.  The slow fishing did not damper their spirits and I think all had a good time.  The afternoon trip was a different time, different anglers, but fishing was about the same as the morning.  Jarrod had the pool fish weighing in at a fat 5.5 pounds.  Such a cliché, but we did have quality not quantity.  We did have a bit of excitement on the afternoon trip when and angler hooked a drum fish weighing about 60-70 lbs.  The beautiful fish was released unharmed.

TONIGHT AND EARLY A.M. IS THE SUPER MOON. THIS IS NOT A RARE EVENT, BUT THE NEXT TIME THE FULL MOON WILL BE CLOSEST TO THE EARTH WILL BE AUGUST 2014. SUPPOSEDLY THIS HAS NO EFFECT ON THE TIDES ETC. BUT MAYBE THE FISH CAN SENSE SOMETHING IS DIFFERENT. ANY WAY, DON’T MISS IT, IT IS QUITE BEAUTIFUL.

Another fine day tomorrow, so spend it aboard the DOROTHY B.  Always family-friendly, where the beginner and experienced can fish side by side in comfort.  The crew and I will be at the dock in the morning, so hop aboard and Experience the Difference.
