Captain's Focus

Had a Charter with Gary Perino and the Columbia Bank crew today. Started out where we had been fishing only to find a pick on some shorts and a few keepers. Didn't have a drift so we tried another area. Found some keepers but still not what I was looking for.
Took a ride to catch the change of tide and glad we did. Half way through our third drift with the current finally moving us in, Nick Laterza, Wayne, N.J. hooks up with what we thought was a foul hooked skate, no head shake, just dead weight, Lou was already going for the gaff when I see a huge shadow come up, no skate but a 12.2 pound doormat!! What a great fish and after yesterdays 9 caught by Big Bob, this only made it better for a very nice man.

I prayed he didn't lift it out of the water till lou got there with the net, surprisingly, Nick was a lot calmer than me!!. Check out the size of the mouth in the pic!!
Charles landed a very nice 6 pounder along with Art's 5 pound fish and we still managed some very nice keepers for those aboard.

CHARTERED SATURDAY MORNING!!
