Pregame Show
There is a lot of news from the weekend. We caught four fish over 7 pounds and one the was 8 lb 4 oz which is the new May/June Flukemaster Leader. Carmine Patullo put the beast in the boat on Friday evening using a Spro tipped with a chartreuse grub. On Father’s Day we saw more baby beasts with the largest weighing 7lb 10oz. The undersized fish activity has increased as well with some anglers catching upwards of 20 shorts per trip. Today we are heading to the northern tip of the bay where we have had our best fishing. Pink Gulp was the hot ticket yesterday. We will see if that holds true today.

Conditions
The wind is light out of the north and we will have incoming water for the first few hours of the day. It took a a long time to get the outgoing water yesterday. We will see what happens today.

May/June Flukemaster Classic Update
Carmine Patullo is the new leader with a 8lb 4oz fluke. The pot now stands at $970.00.

First Drift
A few immediate keepers and a few shorts. Not a bad start to a beautiful Monday.

Second Drift
A few more keepers and some shorts. The wind came around out of the south and combined with the current is making for fast drifting conditions. We are going to make the next one tight on the beach. High hook has 4 keepers.

Third Drift
Made a long one up the beach and caught mostly shorts. There were a couple of keepers caught, but the ratio was terrible. Going to change the area slightly.

Fourth Drift
We think we cracked the code!! There is an angler who put 2 keepers in their bucket on this drift, both caught using a piece of white towel. Hmmmm

Fifth Drift
Dragging bait is by far the way to go today. The jiggers are having a hard time of catching anything. We caught a few shorts on this one, but it was overall a slow drift.

Sixth Drift
The wind came around out of the south and put the kabosh on the fishing. We did a catch a few more shorts, but for the most part it has slowed considerably.

Postgame Show
This is the first trip in almost a week that we did not catch a big fluke. We did see more activity than over the weekend, however, we suffered from a poor keeper ratio. The jig fisherman struggled mightily today as the fluke seemed almost sluggish when hitting the baits. The anglers dragging bait easily outfished the jig guys.
