Captain's Focus

Well, here we are again. 2014. It’s great to be back, and I hope everyone had a good and healthy winter. Our first trip of the season went well. Some anglers found striped bass success while others caught the skunk. Jason Sokol started us off with the first fish of the season, which happened to be a keeper, only ten minutes into the day. It seemed to turn into short-fest for the next few hours as 15 to 20 shorts in the 18″ to 24″ range were caught with an occasional legal sized fish mixed in. We had a moment on the change of tide, and were able to land another 7 keepers, giving us just under a dozen for the day. Andy Sokol was the pool winner with a 18 pound bass.
