Pregame Show
With 2 days remaining in the month, the talk on the boat is of the monthly pool which now stands at $1,050.00, a little more than a “Cool G”. The fish to beat is a 6 lb 14 oz fluke which was caught by George Cullen on August 12th. There have been 22 trips since that day, giving the the entrants close to 150 hours of fishing time in hopes of getting their name on the big board. Surprisingly, no one has done it. There have been fish caught that outweighed George Cullen’s 6lb 14oz fluke, such as John Niedzinski’s 9lb 12oz’er, Stan Mitnick’s 7lb1oz fish, and one other that would have beat it by an ounce, but unfortuately for them, they did not enter the monthly pool. Today 91% of the customers on board are contestants in the August Flukemaster Classic Pool. There have been more than a few doormats caught this week, and each one of these contestants has visions of holding their own doormat up at the end of the day. One big enough to bring home the “Cool G”.

August Flukemaster Classic Update
George Cullen has survived more than a few close calls, and with two trips remaining, still holds the top spot with a 6lb 14oz fish. The pot is up to $1000.00!

Late Morning Update
The fishing is slow so far today. The only good news is that three 5 pounders have come over the rail in addition to a few others, but overall it is very slow.

Congrats to Bill Quinn, who on his first day of retirement, landed this 5 1/2 pound fluke to split the pool! Way to go Bill!
