Ok – they are not true giants but they were great fish for a total of 20 minutes trolling on our way to the canyon. Leaving the dock at 8am Thursday morning Capt. Mark DeBlasio, Capt. Deane Lambros and Ryan DiBagio took an open boat charter with Mark Novembre and Dave Middleton out on the Canyon Runner. They arrived at the Bluefin grounds by the Chicken Canyon and once finding the life put out the lines and within 10 minutes of trolling had a bite on the way back ballyhoo. 1 hour later the 72 inch fish was at boatside. They put back out the lines and 10 minutes later had another bite. 1 and a half hours later a 74 inch was put in the boat and off they went to the Hudson Canyon.

Arriving at the west wall around the bend they had 4 yellowfin before dark with 2 nice ones and a couple rats. The night bite did see 1 nice yellowfin boated. Up on the troll in the morning they had two shots of fish going 3 for 3 and 4 for 4. They also went 1 for 2 on white marlin. The yellowfin are eating Canyon Runner Spreader Bars and lots of ballyhoo.
