Captain's Focus

Sorry for the compilation of several reports in one but we’ve had a busy week and I wanted to get all these out there before the weekend.

Starting with the latest first, on Thursday, July 8 Capt. Phil Dulanie, Capt. Mike Zajac and Capt. Hook took out the Tom Bileicki charter on our 60’ Ritchie Howell. They left early morning for an extended overnighter and ran to the southwest corner of the Hudson right back where the bite was hot. Well it wasn’t that day – trolling all day they picked away at only 3 yellowfin before being called in by our other boat 10 miles further south. By the time they got there that bite was over so they stayed for the night.

The night was again uneventful but the morning was far from that. Trolling from 4:30am to 9am they boated another 11 yellowfin and tagged and released 2 for a total of 16 yellowfin in the 40-70 pound class.
