Captain's Focus

Not much change in the fishing. We missed a couple afternoon trips because of the heat and the threat of thunderstorms. we also didn't get out the fourth of July because of the rain. If you are thinking of coming down on some of those afternoons when the (accurate weathermen) are predicting those thunderstorms just check the radar map. Most of Those predicted Thunderstorms usually miss us or come in the early evening. Anyway the Fluke fishing is staying about the same. The action is pretty good when the conditions are good and we are getting some nice size keepers. Pool winners are usually at least 4. 5 lbs and as big as 8 lbs.

The boat bait is working well and I do see the Gulp baits working well also. The 6 inch Gulp grubs  are working the best, You can pick them up at any local tackle store. A few colors are the chartreuse, New penny and the pink and white. My favorite is the one called Nuclear Chicken. And working your baits also helps a nice up and down jigging motion works well. The people who put a little effort into it are usually rewarded. Here are a few pics. And thanks for checking in.
