On Saturday, 5/5 we Had Larry's opening day fluke charter today. Thick fog and NE winds greeted us to start the day. We had high hopes on the fluke front, hoping some fish moved in.  We fished everywhere - wrecks snags rocks hills lumps shallows you name it - fishing stunk. Just 1 short all day! What we did pull a lot of were gorgeous out of season seabass which went back.   We fished from inside the SG Reef to offshore of it, down to the Axel, inside the Axel, outside of it, between the reefs, and in tight on the beach on sand and on structure.  We couldn't find em'!

We did hear of a bit of a pick on the troll for bass, so For the last hour, we put the spoons in and got the guys 1 20# bass on a white maja. Called it a day at two - great crew but we had a tough one. Better days are ahead!!
