Unfortunately, there is no mackerel report today as Capt. Jimmy Elliott started out with the Golden Eagle from Belmar, but experienced a steering problem right away and had to get back in the slip. It was fixed, but not in time to make the trip. He will be sailing Sunday at 7:30 a.m., and temperatures should be fine for fishing if the wind cooperates.
