Captain's Focus

Hey gang, Capt. Scott here. We gave it a valiant effort today, but we did not catch any stripped bass. We covered a lot of ground, from Cliffwood Beach to the flats to Keansburg to Port Monmouth. Made many drops. Just was nothing to catch. Hats off to the crew today, Kenny and Ritchie for making sure we had fresh clams for today's trip and using extra bait working hard to try and catch some fish. If there were some fish to be caught today I would have shaped up during the week - but that being said - we're going to wait until Saturday, April 2nd before we sail again. Our water temperature was inoperative today. Although, we had a little boat, tell one of my deckhands, Capt. Kenny on the phone that the temperature was 51 degrees. Anyway, it felt good to be out on the bass grounds again. Looking forward to getting back out there next week. Hopefully, I'll have a better report. Happy Easter. Thx., Capt. Scott, Prowler5.
