This morning, we had another excellent day of fishing east of shark river inlet. We anchored up along the edge of the mud hole again and started the mackerel right away. We continued to catch the macs along with some nice sized bonito and jumbo sea bass (which had to go back)
Made both morning and afternoon trips the past two days. Yesterday morning we picked at the shorts and caught some keeper fluke. On the afternoon trip the action was not as good but we still picked at the shorts and had some keepers. Today was a different story. On the morning trip the it was a bit windy and the fishing was not good. On the afternoon trip the weather got nicer and the fishing was better. We picked at the shorts and caught some keepers.
This morning, we had another good day of angling. We anchored up along the edge of the mud hole well east of shark river inlet. It didn't take long to start the mackerel and it got better as the day went on with some bonito and a couple of albies mixed in. It was an excellent day of fishing!
The sloppy ocean conditions on Monday and Tuesday (rained all morning), kept us inside and we had good to excellent fishing on all trips. Thank goodness, the afternoon trip was not a repeat of the morning where we saw good fishing and plenty of fish for all aboard.
