Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing July 27 27 July 2019 Capt. Tom Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. On the morning trip we started out with good drifting conditions and picking at the shorts.
The Miss Belmar Princess is sailing daily for blues, bonito and mackerel from 7 30 a. m. 2 30 p. m. and every afternoon from 4 30 p. m. 8 30 p. m. for fluke, sea bass and ling. The Royal Miss Belmar is sailing daily from 7 30 a. m. 12 00 p. m. for fluke, sea bass and ling.
FRIDAY DSC SOLAR ENJOYED AN EVENING COMPANY FLUKE TRIP - SHORTS WERE PLENTIFUL , KEEPRS WERE A LITTLE HARDER TO COME BY FOR MOST, HOWEVER DENIS HAD HIS LIMIT PLUS ONE WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR OF THE TRIP. ALSO ADDING TO THE KEEPER COUNT WAS P SULLIVAN AND MARTIN FROM GEORGIA.
Posted on July 27, 2019 Hudson River stripers easier to catch than fluke Capt. Joe Massa made a one and done throw of his castnet this morning before we started drifting for stripers in the Hudson River with live bunkers from his My Three Sons out of Morgan Marina. We each dropped a possible keeper and Joe caught a short but it appeared stripers were a much better target for us.
Had Chris with daughter Ashlynn, plan was to jig bluefin, With dismal reports and no good action, called a quick audible And went on the mahi hunt, found the mother lode and put 25 in the box on light tackle. Went back on the bluefin hunt and never got a touch, glad I was able to provide them with some action.
Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing July 26 26 July 2019 Capt. Tom Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12 30 and 1 30 to 6pm).
