Posted on June 16, 2020 Sea bass closes soon The N. J. black sea bass season closes Monday, so anglers wishing to get in on the current opportunity shouldn t hesitate to get out there. The N. J. Division of Fish and Wildlife added materials to two artificial reefs last week.
It was lumpy for sure,made conditions not so good Never got a good chew until the afternoon,then we picked but we should have done better if the conditions were there Still caught fish,including ling,winter flouder and some fluke . Alot of life out there,Monday looks good.
Posted on June 14, 2020 Little shark news June has been prime time for sharking along the Jersey Shore as well as on Long Island, but between the current mako regulations and the pandemic there s been little interest in tournaments and charters or even private boat sharking. It appears that the biggest Long Island shark contest, the Freeport Hudson Anglers, will be contested next weekend, but the venerable Mako Mania of the Greater Point Peasant Charter Boat Association was changed to a tuna format before being cancelled due to the pandemic.
The Miss Belmar Princess is sailing daily for sea bass and blues from 7 30 a. m. 2 30 p. m. and every afternoon for fluke and sea bass from 4 30 p. m. 8 30 p. m. The Royal Miss Belmar will begin sailing DAILY starting this Saturday, June 20th, from 7 30 a. m. 12 00 p. m. for fluke and sea bass!
