Started off the trip getting our under bluefin limit then releasing a few more. Picked up and made a sprint to the canyon looking for bigger fish along the way.
The Miss Belmar Princess is sailing daily for sea bass and blues from 7 30 a. m. 2 30 p. m. and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon for fluke and sea bass from 4 30 p. m. 8 30 p. m. The Royal Miss Belmar will be sailing on Sunday, June 14th, from 7 30 a. m. 12 00 p. m. for fluke and sea bass and then will begin sailing DAILY starting June 20th, from 7 30 a. m. 12 00 p. m. !
Just like yesterday, when Mike Heaney and I trolled Little Italy with Correll, we saw only a few scattered tuna chicks, no whales or slicks and no other surface signs of tuna. At least yesterday there were a few large little tunny and a couple of early arriving bonito hitting the tuna lures.

We had adverse conditions today but we managed to catch some Fluke. It could be better but it could be a whole lot worse Howard was back today and has his limit that's two trips in a row Dan the man also showed off today and bagged his limit.
Had Rocco out with the family, plan was originally stripers but with the sketchy striper bite in the ocean decided to spend the afternoon chasing tuna. Rocco did a nice job on the bft and now they will be enjoying sushi tonight!

Dan Sheehan said bunkers stayed out of casting range yesterday morning at Sandy Hook, but some small blues hit Hogy epoxy jigs. Casting a jig into the howling south wind wasn t easy, but I actually had the opportunity to catch something.
Made our way to the canyon and got on the troll at gray light got our bites but was only able to land one, but a decent one our first bigeye of the year!Made a sprint inshore and crushed the bluefin landing 7 in first half an hour of trolling.
