The Big Mohawk from Belmar has also been catching some cod while limits of sea bass are common on jigs and sand eel teasers though bait also works. Riley said the water temperature cool 58 degrees though that was up 5 degrees from last week, Bob Correll looked for bluefish in Manasquan River during late afternoon, but we found no sign of them before I broke the ice with a17-inch fluke on a small bucktail jig and 4-inch Gulp just before he berthed his Sea Vee at Crystal Point Marina in Point Pleasant.
I haven't put up a reporting awhile only because there is not much good news to report with the Fluke fishing as a matter of fact its gotten slower. I'm going to mix it up for the next two weeks and do some Striper trips and throw in a couple Fluke seabass trips.
Doing maintenance work today on the big boat with one of my captain Mark Jankowski and his son Cole. Once done decided to take a quick sprint to the Rocks to see if we could get Cole a big one, got the bait and found what we wanted.
We also had some ling and fluke in the mix. Until the blues come in we are sailing daily for ling and sea bass from 7 30 a. m. 2 30 p. m. and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon for fluke and sea bass from 4 30 p. m. 8 30 p. m.
