Wow,what a nice day out there,and we had good life on the bottom to Most spots had decent amount of bites that we stopped on today. Small blackfish and perch were jumping on the baits as soon as they hit bottom Mixed in we had some keepers here and there but no amount of them Few codfish and ling mixed in to We are also seeing alot of big sea bass moving in this week on all of the drops .
Had Andres back again with his buddies which included my Dad. Got our bait and went on the hunt, found a body of fish but had to weed through numerous shorts to get their limit with my dad landing the biggest at 37 inches.
The Big Mohawk from Belmar reported a picky bottom bite on Sunday though there were some blackfish limits and many shorts. Striped bass fishing in Raritan Bay has been tough for some, but Chuck Many s crews on Ty Man have been releasing big bass regularly.
Posted on April 25, 2021 Better weather coming for end of NJ tog season Wind and rain resulted in no reports, but things are looking up during the week as the New Jersey tautog season ends as the month runs out. The charter boats that are trolling are catching some fish but most days are not even that good.
Had to grind but got it done and was proud to fish with a survivor and warrior in Vince today. Capt Fred and Jamar had regular Jeff Sperduto and his crew out today.
