It was a little toasty in the morning but the wind picked up around noon and made it very nice. The wind was against the tide of course. A couple guys did manage the limit while other caught only shorts.
We are catching fish in Sandy Hook and Raritan Bays. The better the drifting conditions the more action we have. Most of fish are shorts but there are some keepers mixed in
First drift of the day, June Benson hits a beauty at 5 pounds 13 ounces on the head then lands another 18 inch fish. Several guys had two nice fish each and the short action was very good most of the day.
We made it out with light crowds on both days and it wasn't that bad, we had a breeze most of the day. It was hot but it wasn't that bad, its summer its suppose to be hot The drifting conditions were horrible but we managed to catch fish,.
