Today our first drift changed that thought. We had all our bonus fish plus 16 fish over 28 inches on the first drift and I'm honestly not sure how many we threw back.
Posted on November 24, 2020 Sea Hunter Best striper drift of year As good as the northern NJ striper jigging has been. The boat was limited with bonus bass quickly, and 16 of 28 inches or more were added as everyone went home with two keepers.
We saw a few more bites yesterday than over the week but it was still slow. GREEN CRABS ARE INCLUDED AND WHITE CRABS FOR PURCHASE!ALL DAY MONDAY BLACKFISHING!!!
Since it s also possible to fish in partially protected areas, some boats may also get back into action tomorrow. There were no boat reports today, but the Ocean Explorer from Belmar had an unusual blackfish report from Sunday when the tog bite actually improved as it got rougher by late morning.
The seas became a little nasty and it was getting uglier as the trip went on. I gave everyone a discount for next trip and told them to come back when they could actually enjoy themselves, and we docked at 11 45.
Posted on November 22, 2020 Boaters paid the price to catch stripers today The east wind came up quickly today, and Capt. Rob Semkewyc said he buried the bow of his Sea Hunter from Atlantic Highlands for the first time and then that happened twice more!It was a big change from Friday s best striper trip of the year in calm waters and yesterday s fine action in parking lot conditions between the channels.

Went searching for life starting off with a few shorts found some fish later in the morning landing a few keepers and keeping the rods bent with a bunch of shorts for the boys. Fun bunch of guys on a beautiful day, wish we had more keepers!
At Belmar, the Golden Eagle reported incredible bird action and fish on top, but boat traffic was outrageous and only a few bass and blues were boated. Mike Monte caught a couple of school bass on a Tsunami Sand Eel and missed others early at Belmar despite low water conditions.
