Ran out and got To the grounds and went on the troll, very obvious that Wasn't the right move, went to the jig, and Amelio hooked A nice fish right away, boys did a great job on the fish and The 56 incher was in the boat. Crew did a great job today!
Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing June 28 28 June 2019 Capt. Tom Made both morning and afternoon trips again today and it was a lot cooler on the water then on land. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12 30 and 1 30 to 6pm).
The daily pool changed hands a couple times this morning with John Froelich starting the day off with a nice 4 pound 7 ounce fish followed by Mustache Rich with a 4 pound 10 ounce beauty. The highlight of the day goes to Pat Kostka who landed a great fish at 6 pounds 5 ounces to take the daily pool and the lead in our Monthly which is now at 1500.
The Miss Belmar Princess is sailing daily for blues, stripers and sea bass from 7 30 a. m. 2 30 p. m. and every afternoon for fluke sea bass from 4 30 p. m. 8 30 p. m. The Royal Miss Belmar is sailing daily fluke and sea bass from 7 30 a. m. 12 00 p. m.
The other day we caught over 200 Fluke but only kept a few, today we found a few more keepers in a different area but the short action was not as good. The weekend weather looks good and its a good and its a great way to spend the day.
Had long time friend Eddy our with buddies Ryan and Chris. Changed gears and went tilefishing, lots of Current and wind made for tough conditions but still managed Half a dozen Golden's and bluelines and Eddy got to pop his tile Cherry.
