1000's of NJ Saltwater Fishing Reports, Dozens of Sources, Maps, Wrecks, Historical Search

A nice group of regulars took advantage of the gorgeous weather and the start of the holiday weekend. We managed to bang away at shorts and some keepers everywhere we stopped this morning with some BIG fish in the mix. We finished the last part of the day in a completely different area and found the best fishing of the day with a couple more big fish going into the coolers. Dave Brink, Middletown, NJ, had a 7 pound 10 ounce fish and tied for the pool with an identical fish caught by Mark Matlosz, Mahwah, NJ! The two pool fish beat out another 7 pound 3 ounce beauty caught by an angler who's name I failed to get. Sorry!! Jim Nodroff, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, had several keepers up to 5 pounds 2 ounces. Don Jaeger, Morris Plains, NJ, ended up with a few keepers up to 5 pounds 5 ounces. A few other fish in the four pound class were added as well today. Hoping for a repeat tomorrow. See you in the morning.
