finally some nice weather, and fishing

by Capt Ted White 14 October 2015

After some time, the wind let up a little and we got a few trips in.
Saturday though the wind didn't let up soon enough and we couldn't fish were we wanted to. On Sunday it was real nice and we made our way north with some Boy Scouts of Troop 22 from Unionville, Pa.. They had a great time on very big blues (15-18lbs).
Monday, we headed offshore with the Darren Shaffer group in calm seas as well. Fished a few hours for mahi, landing 50, and a surprise 51" wahoo. John, hope I got the name right, did a great job, he was using one of our JPR spinning outfits rigged for mahi. Yep,17lb test line, a 30lb leader with a 2/0 seabass hook ! We had 15 tuna(12 longfin, 3 yellowfin), and two swordfish in the 90lb class. Hoping to get out Friday, fingers crossed as the rest of the weekend looks windy again.
