Weekly Update (June 25, 2017)

Awsesome weather for Fluke fishing this coming week.  Predominant 'west is best' winds will prevail and should help boost the catch rate.  Ocean water temps are slowly creeping up to where it may be worthwhile to try some of the Ocean reef sites for some flatties and get away from the crowds in the bay.  Time to start jigging!  Til now, most of the Fluke action has been on bait but that is changing.

Not much else going on inshore.  Stripers are moving north, Sebass is closed, Tog is closed.  Bluefish are still abundant though much more hit and miss than they have been but even they will be migrating offshore leaving only the Taylor's behind for the summer.  One good thing to mention is that there has been a nice run of Weakfish in Barnegat Bay.  Of course, you can only keep 1 but just maybe we are on a cycle where they will become more prevelant.

Shark is still a go.  Some big Mako's are being caught but you better hurry.  Water temps will quickly warm beyond their preference.
