Aboard with us today were Greg, Shawn, Traci, Chuck, Greg, and Frank.  Fluke reports while I was away were very slow.  We
went out anticipating slow fishing, and it was slow.  We had a couple nice fish and a handful of shorts before we changed gears
and tried for triggerfish.  The water is in the high 60s which isn't ideal for triggers but there were a few around as we boxed 15 of
them and a couple sea bass, too.  Nice day guys!

We had an open boat group aboard today with Shawn, Traci, Chuck, Greg, Jeff, and TJ.  We made our first attempt for fluke,
and with overall slow reports coming in, didn't know what to expect.  We were very pleasantly surprised when we boxed 27 fluke
to 7.2lbs and had a lot of shorts as well!  We are going away for the next few days, so check back in a week or so for updates!
Thank you!

Another 100 plus fish in the box type of day!  Burke, Jack, Britt, Cody, Trinidad, and Chuck were aboard, and fishing was great!
We had to move around a lot, but we had a decent keeper ratio with some beauties in the mix.  101 fish made the trip home
today...55 sea bass, 45 ling, and a nice cod.  Thanks very much guys!

Jeff, Shawn, Traci, Al, Bob, and Chubby were aboard today for their sea bass open boat.  Once again, exceptional quality fish in
the mix!  We had a lot of beautiful fish with Jeff getting the biggest at 5 pounds - a stud to say the least!  Over 100 fish today,
with 60 beautiful sea bass, around 40 ling, 7 cod, and a few huge bergalls rounding out the box.  What a day!

Bill, Bill, Jack, Chuck, Chris, and Ed were aboard today, and fishing was great!  We had the nicest sized sea bass of the year,
with many 2 to 4 pounders in the mix.  We had a 95 fish box today, with 70 sea bass and 25 ling going home along with many
ling released.  Great fishing!

Shawn, Traci, Ed, Bob, George, and Don were aboard today for a sea bass open boat.  Fishing was good once again with
another quality keeper ratio coming over the rail.  The grade of fish was nice, and we boxed 77 sea bass and a dozen ling for a
nearly 90 fish box.  Thanks everyone!

With the forecast of stiff winds coming up in the late morning, we decided to try a slightly different area today.  We had to really
work for them today and move around a lot, but did put a nearly 50 fish box together with 37 sea bass, some ling, and a cod
making up the catch.  Way to work for them, guys!

Joe Wilson and company were aboard for their private sea bass trip today.  Great fishing once again!  We had some very nice
quality fish today, and the ratio was quite good.  78 keepers made the box today, along with some ling.  Thanks guys!

TJ, Shawn, Traci, Greg, Jeff, and Tom were aboard today for a sea bass open boat.  Fishing was excellent today with a limit of
sea bass going in the box.  Many shorts were in the mix so we had to sift through quite a bit of them, but it paid off with a limit of
keepers!

Bob, Clyde, Lisa, Nick, Chuck, and Tom were aboard today for a sea bass open boat.  Making our way through some early
morning fog on a calm ocean, we arrived on the grounds and immediately started working our way through a series of spots.
Each location had a handful of nice fish available, and the gang did a great job of working hard to put them in the box!  The
quality of our keepers was quite nice, with only a handful requiring measurement and most of them "no doubt about it" keepers.
We ended today's trip with a nice box of 75 sea bass, a few large bergall, and some ling.  We also had some cod today, but
they were a little too short to take home!  Great day, guys!

We had Adam Rizzo aboard with his group for their sea bass charter today.  It was a beautiful day on the water with light winds,
calm seas, and blue skies.  Fishing was slow but steady at each spot we fished, but our first stop of the day was best with drop
and reel fishing and some nice keepers coming aboard.  We had some cod mixed in throughout today's trip, too.  At the end of
the day, 59 keeper sea bass made the box, along with a half dozen keeper cod, a half dozen ling, and few large bergall.
Thanks guys!

This afternoon, Travis Stolz jumped on for his drum charter with Steve, Joe, and Jim.  Fighting our way through countless
smooth dogfish, we did manage to get a few drum bites.  Travis hooked one up, but unfortunately the hook pulled.  Steve, "The
Drum Slayer", put the hook in three drum fish, putting two in the boat(our two for the trip) and breaking the leader on a
third...presumably frayed from all the smooth dogs twisting up in it.  Beautiful afternoon on the bay, and a couple big drum to
boot...thanks guys!

May 26, 2015

The drum bite has slowed down since the Memorial Day holiday weekend boat traffic.  The wind hasn't been all too favorable
either.  We had a local crew today with Shawn, Traci, Rich, and Joe jumping aboard to go see what the bay looked like.  What
we found wasn't too pretty, with a screaming south wind that made for rough conditions with white capping waves everywhere we
looked.  We set up shop in a couple spots to give it a college try, but the drum didn't want to cooperate.  We will see what
happens next time we're on the bay.  Sea bass opens tomorrow, so as soon as the weather permits we will be on the ocean
chasing them down.

Hope to have you aboard!
