In January, it doesn't get any better than what we had today! We had Traci, Shawn, TJ, Chip, Chubby, and Mark aboard today. The weather was gorgeous throughout the trip and as calm as it was in the morning, I don't really think the North Atlantic can get any calmer than it was this afternoon at any time of year - yet alone January. As for the fish - we boxed 17 tog today and 5 of them were OVER 12 POUNDS with 2 being 15lbs plus! It was one of those days where the biggest fish on the structure wanted to bite. Three personal bests were had today for Mark, Chip, and Traci had two personal bests catching a 12 pound fish and then beating it with a 14. What a day and we hope to get out there again soon. While it is nice to "limit out," this time of year in the area we are fishing the goal is more a quest for personal bests as there are some really beautiful fish on several spots if you fish hard and are lucky enough to be able to get him above the structure before he wins the battle! Awesome day!
