Good action on shorts with some nice size keepers coming over the rail again today. The afternoon trip started off good with shorts and keepers coming over the rail but around 4 30 they shut there mouths and we only picked a Fluke here and there.
This week coming up, the conditions are looking good for catching Fluke! Sunday night, we had a light crowd so we did the inshore route and anglers caught some decent size Ling and Sea Bass.
The water is in the lower 60s so as it warms up, Fluke fishing should get better. Wednesday night, I seen some fish zipping on top of the water chasing bait but was never able to get on them.
Last night (Saturday), I read some fish and even seen a few on top but they were not ready to bite. WE WILL BE NIGHT BLUEFISH ALSO THIS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND ON FRIDAY, SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY!
We picked at some Ling, few small Cod, few keeper Cod and some Blackfish (which went back to catch again next year). We did see a few Bluefish show up out there today so hopefully when we start night fishing next weekend they will still be there.
