July 2, 2014 Wednesday report The weather turned off fishing , one each drift we had the action again from the shorts with some keeper fluke in the mix, no jumbo fluke today as we had the past two days, in the mix today we also had some sea bass and ling, some of the group went home with 1-2 keepers each, the drift got faster in the afternoon. Overall it was a slower day of fishing.

The weather was sunny and warm, the N.E wind picked up and so did the drift up to 1.7 kts., the people using buck tails had a harder time holding bottom, the bait users did better today.fluke the pool winner.
This morning we had a decent start, with action from the short flatties also from the nice quality keeper fluke. We moved again to the beach area and pulled in some sea bass along with some keeper fluke.
Recently caught on the Capt. Cal Huge Monk Fish (ugly)  The weather man's report kept most of the group from coming , actually it turned out to be a decent day on the water, with no rain.We  moved to fish over the mussel beds catching some nice size sea bass.
The morning started out with action from the short flatties, and keepers coming over the rail on every drift.John Anderson took the $$ pool with his 5 lb.
