Nov 30 2015 11 28 Blackfish Report - Next Sunday 12 6 last trip of the season NEXT LAST TRIP OF THE SEASON Blackfish- Sunday 12 6 at 7AM Sorry for late report I just have been very busy. We are chartered next Saturday and we are going to make next Sunday 12 6 our last trip of the year so we can get some boat maintenance done and get ready for next year.
The good news is we were able to pick at fish on the first 2 spots with keepers and shirts and on our 3rd drop we built up some nice life and caught fish for the rest of the day but you did have to work for them. Others had between 2, 3 4 nice keepers and for a couple it wasn't there day and only had shorts.
Today we had a nice crowd onboard. High hook today had 8 keepers(only keeping limit) others had 1, 2 3 keepers and some with just shorts but we were able to pick at them all day.
Nov 10 2015 11 10 Update - Not sailing Wednesday 11 11 Due to the weather we will not be sailing Wednesday 11 11. I'll post Thursday about the weather for the weekend and schedule.
We will continue bottom fishing carrying clams crabs but be ready to stop and jig a few bass if we see them in our travels. Also remember that Blackfish Season opens Monday Nov 16th and we will be sailing for opening day at 7am with green crabs Whiteleggers provided.
We headed a little offshore and had a slow pick of sea bass, few porgies blackfish and 2 keeper cod. We caught a few sea bass on each drop and then the Sharks would find us so we had to move on.
