The weather was great, fishing conditions fair, but most important, the fish cooperated !The guys did a great job, especially since most of them had never been tuna fishing.
Big Blues still chomping and the seabass season starts good !The Neil Weir party came down sunday and we decided to go for seabass on the reopening, there was plenty of wind, and plenty of fish.
Saturday we toughted it out but on y managed a handful of seabass, we did catch alot of small weakfish but only a few of them were legal size. The younger Rick Weber took both first fish and biggest.
Monday was slow for the fluke, and today Jeff Whelan's party did very well with the big blues. When the conditions are good, it seems we can put together a decent catch of fluke, so I'm hoping this weekend that will be the case.
The next two trips we did a little bottom fishing, caught some fluke and seabass, and put up with the wind. If you have a big family group or company trip this would be a great day on the water.
Singing the blues, some about the fluke, none about the blues. We had Mike Fedorko's family group out for a day of fluke fishing and while the weather and company were fine, the fishing was a bit slow.
