JUNE 21, 2015 We had a decent weekend in spite of the weather and forecasts, no turn-away-crowds, especially for today, Dads Day. Anglers aboard the past few trips have seen good short action, many fish just under 18', and some larger fish 5 - 7 lbs. Saturday's morning pool fish caught by Sean weighed in at 7 lbs, and George had the afternoon at just under 6 lbs. Rich had a nice big fluke for this afternoon's pool. Sailing every day 8 00 AM - 12 30 PM AND 1 30 PM - 6 00 PM Fish aboard the Dorothy B. where you get more individual fishing space, most Read more JUNE 21, 2015
Greg took the afternoon pool with a 4 pound Fluke Fluke fishing is a low key type of fishing with pretty much each day a repeat of the one before, so I will only be updating the report twice a week unless some sensational event occurs. Sailing every day twice a day 8 am-12 30 pm and again 1 30 pm-6 pm.
HALF DAY SCHEDULE WILL BEGIN ON FRIDAY MAY 22 2 TRIPS EVERY DAY 8 AM-12 30 PM 1 30 PM-6 PM Monday was the worst of the last 3 trips, both weather and fish. Tomorrow (Thursday) will be our last striper trip of the spring season.
May 17, 2015 SUNDAY UPDATE Wednesday saw some decent catching, Thursday and Friday were the pits and we did not get out Saturday due to lack of angler participation. Today started out ok with North Plainfield Johnny landing a keeper bass, not too long after that Steve aka Grams got a bigger bass, so I thought the day was going to be a good one. FRIDAY, MAY 22 1 2 DAY FLUKE SAILING 8 AM- 12 30 PM AND AGAIN 1 30- 6 PM
Three days and counting of good keeper bass all caught on clams, and a sea of big blues, with today being the best striper day, keeping 6 bass for 7 anglers. The fishing is good and we are putting the bass in the boat, so join us on our next adventure.
Children (under 12 yrs) 30, SUNDAY We had a good day's catching with a mess of blues, plenty of shorts and 5 keepers for the 8 anglers, mostly regulars, aboard today. We did have a couple of new to the Dorothy B. aboard today, Andre and Alex, who each boated a keeper bass with Andre getting the pool fish weighing 16 lbs.
That was the good part of the day because within 10 minutes Bobby Anderson landed a 20 pound bass, we had 2 more 15 pounders and some big blues added in. Good forecast again tomorrow, come to the harbor and join us on our new day's adventure.
