The afternoon saw a good catch of bigger fish with many fish landed between 4-7 lbs. Frank had the afternoon pool fish and a couple of other fluke as well.
September 08, 2013 Just an update, some great quality fish, but lacking in quantity. When conditions are right, we are off to the deeper waters and the bigger fish.
August 28, 2013 WE ARE CHARTERED TOMORROW 8 29 PM TRIP ONLY. Pool winners, Nicole who used her super powers to land the pm pool, Carl Richko, and George Collen who had the pool and his limit.
The fishing is consistently inconsistent, most days with a lot of short action and several big (not huge) fluke being landed. Some of the pool winners over the past several days are Cuz Vitale, tag team John and Daniel, who both hooked the same fluke, our ever famous Adrian, Mark, Gary and youngster Justin.
AM TRIP IS OPEN AND SAILING AT 8 AM Not much to report, some nice quality fish but just not enough of them. We also had a few fish this morning between 4 to 6 lbs.
As usual, plenty of action on the shorts, but many more keepers and several nice sea bass in the mix. Unfortunately, sea bass has a mid-season closure as of 8 8, so some nice big ones were returned to the sea, hopefully to be caught again in late Sept.
What a difference a day makes---blue skies, plenty of sunshine and dry warm temperatures, add to the mix good fluking and you have a great day. Once again, a great group of anglers aboard making for a good day for me and the crew.
Pool winners on Monday were James on the AM trip and John on the PM trip. Today's pool went to Andrew in the AM and Mike, who fishes with his buddy Gregg.
