I never saw so many boats in December! It was a good season for the boat, thanks to you, and the crew and Capt. Will would like to sincerely thank everyone for sailing with us.
Pool winner was Bob Pianetti of Manahawkin, NJ. I've seen many giants caught, but to see a fisherman passionate about the fish after he lands it, well, say what you want, but to plan the release afterward can be a harder battle than the catch itself, especially when you have to do a weigh-in.
6 27 15 Monday starting out was a bit slow, some sea bass were still to be caught and a 3-lb fluke took the pool by Billy Seidle of South Hampton, NJ. On Friday we had more sea bass but a 3. 8-lb fluke won, caught by Mark Keple of Manahawkin, NJ.
Since the NMFisheries wont let us fish for sea bass until May 26 (my mistake on the last report), which is the Tuesday after the holiday weekend, on the Memorial weekend, (Sat and Sunday only), we will be fishing for stripers and or blues. This Saturday and Sunday will be the last trip until May 27 (the opening of sea bass season).
4 13 15 We finally got out to fish on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday we caught a few short cod and a keeper cod and about a half a dozen short blackfish.
3 7 15 Everyone who went to Florida and came home to this last snow storm, well gee sorry about that!I have to admit, it was one of the most beautiful snow events I ve seen in a while.
Sunday was gorgeous out there, the bite was on for Ken Nutt Sr. (Fox) of Waretown, NJ, who won with a nice 7-lber. We are continuing to sail Saturday and Sunday as long as the weather is decent.
