Ken Gallop of Big Kid from Brielle Yacht Club. Capt. Joe Bogan can't wait for the sea bass season to open on Saturday, when he'll run an extended open trip at 5 a. m. with his Jamaica II from Brielle.

Atlantic Highlands bottom fishing october 17 17 October 2016 Capt. Tom Made our 3 4 day bottom fishing trip today fishing for porgies and blackfish. We are bottom fishing everyday making one trip leaving at 7 30 and returning between 2 30 and 3pm.
Good bottom fishing once again as we bounced around a couple different drops catching Porgies, Blackfish, Sea Bass Blow fish. Sea Bass opens on Saturday, lets hope the fish we have been tossing back stick around at least through the weekend.
The Gambler from Point Pleasant reported the last canyon trip produced a good bite just before and after sunrise for 30-to-70-pound yellowfins plus a few 30-to-40-pound albacore. At Belmar, the Golden Eagle had a slow start with the jumbo blues, but ended up with a good catch to 19 pounds plus a couple of little tunny.
