The weatherman hit the forecast right on the head today. A westerly breeze and a beautiful ocean. Started our day inshore blackfishing with some of our regulars and everyone was very happy with that choice!! The tog bit all day on one drop with everyone taking their limit home and playing catch and release with lots of 5-6 pound fish!! The porgies and seabass did not bite well today offshore so we stayed where we were and let the fellas get tuned up for next Sunday's regular tog season opener. Same plan for tomorrow starting out for blackfish. If the porgies/seabass fishing is not good then we will tog fish all day!! Green crabs and clams onboard. Tom Hollywood Sr., Staten Island, NY, took today's pool with a very nice 10 pound fish.
