13 POUND 2 OUNCE MEGA-MAT CAUGHT TODAY!!! EBII SECOND BIGGEST FLUKE EVER AND OUR FIFTH DOORMAT OF THE SEASON!!!!!

2014 was already a record year for us with doormat fluke so today was just some icing on the cake!!! Started the day where we have been fishing lately with good drifting conditions but did not see enough action on a couple of drifts to keep us there. Made a move to some deeper water where we had some fish yesterday. The guys had a nice manageable drift for the rest of the day with keepers and lots of short action as well. Dennis O' Brien, South Bound Brook, NJ, is one of our best fishermen who is no stranger to big fluke every year. Today he even impressed himself!! Around midday we netted his 13 POUND 2 OUNCE fish which was his biggest ever and the SECOND LARGEST fluke ever caught aboard the EBII!! It was caught on a spro rig tipped with a large gulp. GREAT JOB DENNIS, YOU EARNED IT!! His fish is second only behind the 14.9 POUND mega-mat we boated earlier this season. Yes, he won the pool!! Good conditions next few days so lets who will be next to catch their personal best fluke. See you in the morning.
