BIG FLUKE SUNDAY!!! Fished away from the boats pretty much by ourselves and it paid off today! The guys had a pick on most drifts but for the most part it was a quality over quantity day for sure. Natural baits, spros, gulps etc etc have all been putting some nice fish in the coolers this weekend and that held true for today. Stefan Stefanov, Bedminster, NJ, took the pool with a VERY NICE 8 pound11 ounce fish which he caught early in the day. Steve Han, Berkeley Heights, gave Stefan a good run later in the day with an 8 pound 6 ounce beauty of his own!! Jim Lohse, Union, NJ, was high hook with 4 keepers weighing 5 pounds 6 ounces, 4 pounds 7 ounces, 4 pounds 5 ounces and 4 pounds 4 ounces!! Other fish between 3 and 4 pounds were scattered around the boat along with the usual keepers. It is great to see some big fish around so early in the season. We start back at our regular 7:30 AM sailing time tomorrow for the remainder of the fluke season.
